Siena is one of my favourite places to visit in Tuscany. It hasn’t changed at all since our first visit in the early 1990s (I shot film then too, with my dad’s AE-1). In fact, it hasn’t changed for centuries, which is what makes it so magical. I love the narrow streets, and the blue sky makes a perfect backdrop for the beautiful buildings. The animal flags and statues in the different districts always make us smile as everyone gets ready for the Palio. Every time we go we buy the children a different flag to add to our collection. We have quite a menagerie!
